A welcome from Mr Lane, Head Teacher.
Welcome to High Lawn Primary and Nursery School’s website.
Our website has been designed to give you an insight in to the life of our school, to answer any questions you might have and to encourage you to call in and visit us to find out more!
I started working at High Lawn in September 2002 and, in March 2015, I was extremely proud to become the Head Teacher of such a fantastic school. At High Lawn, we work extremely hard as a team to provide all our children with the best possible care and education – we want all children to enjoy coming to school and in turn, to succeed and achieve their potential; the children are very much at the heart of everything we do!
As our motto, ‘Opportunity and Achievement’ suggests, we aim to provide every child with a wide range of opportunities to succeed. We deliver an exciting and ‘unique’ curriculum, one which stimulates children’s imagination and helps them to develop a love for learning and a thirst for knowledge! We enrich the curriculum in many ways providing opportunities for children to further their knowledge and skills whilst at the same time learn by having fun! Each year, we organise a wide range of educational trips and visitors to school, as well as a long list of after school clubs. Together, we regularly celebrate children’s achievements whether success has come as part of a team or as an individual.
We work very closely with our parents/carers to make sure that we are meeting the needs of every individual child in school. In addition to this, we have very strong links with other agencies in Bolton helping us to provide the right support for children and families at the right time.
"Pupils enjoy coming to school and they say that learning is fun" (Ofsted, September 2019). Visitors to High Lawn regularly comment on the positive atmosphere around school; the ‘buzz’ of enthusiastic children and teachers as they work and learn together. Although we are a large school, we have the philosophy and ‘feel’ of a small school!
I hope that you enjoy visiting our website and find all the information that you need. However, we do encourage you to come and visit us to find out more. Please contact school to make an appointment. I look forward to seeing you soon.
Should any of our existing families, or members of the public, have any queries, please contact Mrs Vicki Ritherdon (School Administrator) on the number below. Alternatively, should you need to speak to our school's Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo), please contact the school office and ask for Mrs Sarah McGinty.
